I'm Senior Java Developer with 5 years of experience .I was studing for the java 4 in 2005.but then i won't take the exam,So I studied in 2008 to the Java 5 and i didn't take the exam . and now i've just studied for the last 2 months and taked it with a great score .
I had read Khaled mughol book for java 1.4 in 2005 and understand this material and i'm telling you now it's the best book ,it explains each possible trick and it's mock questions make you understand the material effectively .
The exam was not hard ,it 's just little bit tricky .My successful way is to read the answers before the questions . any one can pass if he actually understand what should be understood and study the materials by Kathy Book.it's a great book and enough for the exam ..

Too many questions about OOP. and little about collections and generics

Whats next ?i'm working as a core developer not web ?

congrats Alaa ! perfect score and welcome to the ranch
Since you are a core Java developer, I think SCJD will benefit you.
I am also a Sr J2EE developer / team lead, but mainly focusing on web, server side, database and system integration technologies like Struts, EJB, JMS MQ, Web services, JDBC, Oracle, J Boss, ESB, eMule etc. I also kept postponed taking certifications several times, but decided to pursue it now. I will take SCJD anyway, but currently focusing on SCWCD only!

Good luck for future!

Thanks,

Congrats, champion!

Now, you may want to go for SCJD, which is a certification where you have to develop a client-server system. It is a very challenging certification and I certainly recommend it!
