Hai everyone
I have two files
1.errorHandler.jsp( in this page i have used this directive:<%@ page errorPage="errorPage.jsp" %> )
2.errorPage.jsp( in this page i have used this directive:<%@ page isErrorPage="true"%> )

when i raise exception in errorHandler.jsp in IE the response is "the page cannot be displayed". after i have gone through some ranch threads i have disabled the "show friendly error page display" in IE(note:its working normally in all the other browsers).. another guy said its not possible to ask every client to disable that option.. so i have used the success code in errorPage.jsp as here..

<% response.setStatus(javax.servlet.http.HttpServletResponse.SC_OK); %>

But my Guru is not convinced with this idea..sending success status for error pages!!!??... What do i have to do to overide that option in IE..Please help me...
