Hi,

How can I enable debuging in Spring. I would like to see the System.outs
from the framework

Inside the code Spring framework uses commons-logging. So either you increase the verbosity of jdk 1.4 logger (if you don't have log4j in your classpath), or you increase the verbosity of log4j for the packages inside Spring (for example increase the verbosity for org.springframework)

The easiest way is to drop a log4j.jar and log4j.xml file in your classpath. Then tweak the settings for org.springframework to be whatever you like. Here's a sample log4j.xml:
