Which is a better way to learn jdbc ,should i learn from suns' site http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/jdbc,does that has evrything it takes to be proficient in jdbc.Or should i learn from the books,and IF YES which one is the best book.

David,
The tutorial you linked to covers most of what you encounter for day to day JDBC coding. However, it does it in a very compact format which may not be as conducive to learning. Take a look and see if it matches your learning style.

I haven't seen a book covering just JDBC. It either covers a specific database as well or JDBC as part of other topics.
