The main problem Im having when the error page is displayed, say 3 times for 3 failed challenges, then the user logs in and authenticates, then hits the back button and gets access to the error page again. I find that yucky. Is there any way to prevent that the user from being able to Back up to the login / error page? I tried adding

<%
response.setHeader("Cache-Control","no-cache");
response.setHeader("Pragma","no-cache");
response.setDateHeader ("Expires", 0);
%>

at the top of the error page to prevent the error page from being cached, but it still appears with the back button.

See what happens when you login to your gmail and then click backbutton? Is that the behaviour you are looking for? IF yes then setting any header on response does not work..
