accessing a session bean through home interface

+Pie Number of slices to send: Send
Hi,

To call a business method to the session bean, why is it that the client needs to call first lookup the home, then call Home interface's create method to get the remote interface and then call the business method on the remote interface?
why are these 2 levels of calls mandated for client?

Thanks,
Neelima

This is all part of the EJB Specification. There are lot of things that EJB container provides like Locational transparency, decorating proxy/stub code with calls to bean etc which mandate these things. Lot of this has been simplified in EJB 3.
