Heres a small one with JDeveloper....

http://www.theregister.co.uk/2006/10/24/jasperreports_tutorial/

If you google around there are some others...

http://www.cise.ufl.edu/~otopsaka/CIS4301/ReportDemo/ReportFromJava.html

and on Amazon there is a book Java and JasperReports....

more info at least than for Crystal Reports...

D Trinity ,
Thanks a lot for providing me valuble links.
And one more thing is, i googled about JasperReports tutorials but all examples are showing creating our own jrxml file and exporting the data.
WHAT i want is to create custamize jrxml file. That is, it should be create dynamically by using the data from database.in my requirement , i have 60 tables in database and i don't want to create 60 jrxml files for export. Insted of that, i want to create a template jrxml file and that is used for modifing the report and will export.
is that possible ?
any suggetions will be appreciate...........

Thanks

Hey,

It would depend on your data and what you are trying to achieve, we used jasper reports for custome letters, but for the most part we needed to create new .jrxml files. Although you can do simple if statements and the like in the code. But ultimately it depends on your data and requirements.
