Hi all,

DBAccess - Sun interface
DataAccess - my interface extends DBAccess
Data - access data class implements DataAccess
DataFactory.getData returns DataRemote
DataRemote - interface extends Remote, DataAccess

Also, I added another method to the DataAccess:
getDataDescription returns list of field properties (name, length).

Have I broken anything? Can I use only my Interface with RMI service?

Hi David,

Yes, you can use MyInterface and you are not breaking anything.

Since your Data class implements MyInterface which extends DBAccess
your Data class is automatically implementing all the methods of DBAccess.

HTH,

Carlos.
