Hi,

I am building a jsp based website and I needed a little push in the correct direction for securing my site. I have searched extensively on the internet, but I could either not find what I was looking for or the information that I found, I could not make much sense of it. I have fairly good java experience and I know my way around the language. I have built jsp websites before and I am comfortable with its many aspects. However, since the jsp experience was mainly for school projects, security for the site was never covered.

I am now looking to build a professional grade website using html, css, javascript, jsp, servlets, beans and jdbc using MySQL. The website will have the usual set of logins, forms etc. I intend to host the site on an apache server with a hosting company and develop the site in Net Beans.

What are the aspects I should cover to ensure that my site is secure? Does anyone know of a good place to start learning about securing your java website?

Many Thanks,

Bubba
