problem with confirm()

I have a button for deleting a row out of the table, I just notice that if I click "canel" it still deleted the row out of the table

													 onclick="confirm('Are you sure about deleting this record')"
													 action="#{DynamicFunctionalityBean.delete}" >  

This is embeded in <rich:dataTable> tag, so this button appears for every row

You are not canceling the button click. You need return.
