User defined log file cannot be found or is not usable

I'am getting the following error on starting server Tomcat 5.5

What is suppose from this error about some classpath error of log4j.jar...but not able to find the error....Can you help in this??

Your exception is coming from Apache commons-logging, which is a logging consolidator used to manage software from multiple sources which may be using different logging packages. The message indicates it can't find the adapter for log4j logging.

I think there's a copy of commons-logging in TOMCAT_HOME/lib, so potentially you could be encountering a classpath conflict, but I'd check the apache commons logging docs to make sure you've got it set up properly.
