how to get favicon

Hi,
I put my icon file inside the root folder .
And in my welcom.jsp i am putting these lines


<link rel="icon" href="favicon.ico" type="image/x-icon" />
<link rel="shortcut icon" href="favicon.ico" type="image/x-icon" />

But i am not getting the favicon .Please help me where i am wrong.
