Wings setbounds problem  RSS feed

HI,

i am usings wingS. when i am adding button i want to set its position. like we do using setBounds metohd in swings...but no such methos is provided by them.

Can i get help on this .

Looks like he really does mean wingS, which is yet another GWT kind of thing.

Satyajit, using setBounds() in Swing is wrong, wrong, wrong -- generally only the LayoutManager should call that method. Calling the equivalent on a web page is not only wrong, it's often impossible, which is why this sort of framework doesn't provide such a method. Use the layout managers, the way you're supposed to -- both in Swing and wingS.

Thanks Everyone..

i am not that good in swing .
i want to arrange components wherever i want .In such case which layout i must choose and which methods can be used to place those components in right place;

And one more doubt....how good it is to write web app in wingS ...coz there are also many other frameworks available...?
