Nagu,
Galileo is Eclipse 3.5 and Ganymede is Eclipse 3.4. See the release notes for a summary of the new features.

Technically, both are "release trains" of other plugins as well. But you asked about Eclipse, so I'm guessing you mean core Eclipse.

Can you please follow the link provided and see the differences?

3.5 is the first Eclipse that would make me consider switching from IntelliJ for my personal use--it's pretty good, and quantitatively better than 3.4. I don't really understand your reluctance to just use the best version of an application.

Wow, is it really that good?
For me, IntelliJ is untouchable God.
What did you find in Eclipse 3.5 that is so special?

It's not that 3.5 itself is so special (although it finally has breadcrumbs), it's that most IDE research is built on Eclipse.

So, IntelliJ stills a better IDE (by that I mean the overall feature) for Java developers?

I don't really participate in "better" IDE discussions; everybody has their own preference. I'm pretty happy with either, and the latest versions of NetBeans are also quite good.
