Dears,

i want to build an brilliant Socket Server that will accept large number of client lets say(1 million ) .
and the below questions for the expert in Core Programming :

1.What the challenges i will face ?
2.What is the best memory storage for the sessions ?
3.What is the limitations of the hardware resources ?
4.What about the security issues ?

I would say that the number one challenge is due to the fact that sockets will always be limited by the underlying operating system.

Why re-invent the wheel? We tried and then discovered Netty http://www.jboss.org/netty. I'd take a look at what that offers and then decide.
