How to send mail in struts2.....if i use mail.jar it shows me the exception java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: javax/mail/Message
since in mail.jar all class files are in java 1.4 and i am using java6.

How to get around this.

This has nothing to do with Struts; moving to more appropriate forum.

Java is backwards-compatible - using classes compiled with (or for) an older Java version is not a problem. It seems that you are not adding the jar file properly to the classpath (or the jar file is damaged - try if "jar tf mail.jar" lists all its classes).
