problem with firefox but not wirh IE

My web site has home page and some subsections. when i click on any link on home it takes me to page where i want but from subsection when i click on browser's(Firefox) back button it does not work for the first time but if i click again it takes me to the page where i want.
may i know why?
Note: there is no problem with other browsers like IE.

Sounds like the browser is putting something into the browsers history. What is this magical button doing. Code would be nice.
