Hi,
Is Sun's JSF RI good enough for a production web site? If I do that, are there any risky issues?

Thanks for your opinions in advance.

It's as production ready as the base RI gets. I use MyFaces. They have several custom components that Sun's RI doesn't ship with that make life easier on us JSF developers. And it's open source.

I don't think there can be any concrete yes or no reply to your question.
The technology is still new & maturiting, so you can expect a bit of bugs definitely. But it has the potential and is slowly but gradually getting the industry's acceptance ... and it's my personal opinion that the reason for this slowness is nobody want to be the first one to be on trail .... and once the success story spreads it wont take much time to for the rest catch up....

So are a lot of people. I was supposed to have it back in September but I dropped the ball. I had posted a question in this forum twice asking what everyone would like to see in a PART II tutorial but didn't get much of a response. Maybe I will revive that thread. With the amount of JSF traffic this week, maybe I can get some responses?

You guys haven't done this much, have ya? I suggest you study this tiny ad:
