We are using for our webapplication Struts. Is JSF a substitute for Struts, or is it an add-on? If it's a substitute: what are the strenghts & weaknesses of JSF in comparison with Struts? Could you combine both in 1 web-application?

Normally i would go to a 3h course about JSF, but because my company started subscribing me when subscription period was terminated, i couldn't go, so i have to ask it here

Thanks for all the input!
