I get the compilation error: Unable to find class for bean: Bean1 defined by tag with class: programbal.Bean1.
for the following code:

Note: I have not shown properties in the bean1 and also not shown set property code in pag1.jsp for simplicity.

What could be the problem? Your input will be greatly appreciated.

Do you have a class located at WEB-INF/classes/programbal/Bean1.class in your WAR?

Actually, I am using Oracle Jedevloper to develop the application running on Windows xp. During the development we don't need to have war file deployed to run.

What I did is that I deleted the whole bean from the IDE and on the C drive and recreated the bean. This fixed the problem.

Thanks for your time.
