I writing an application that contains a video player. In order to implement showPrecedingFrame function I have to go to the first frame, count desired number of frames, then draw it. All previous frames have to be drawn in correct order to get nice and clean picture. If I am drawing frames in order I am reading them, I am getting an effect similar to DoubleBuffering.
I want to disable JComponent update function (draw, but do not refresh the panel) and then paint everything together with last frame that should be displayed.

Please share you ideas, I am sure that lots of developers already solved that issue.

Thank you,
