Hi All,

I am trying to build sample Browser application in Aandroid where I am having an EditText field to enter the URL and a Go button.
If I am hard coding the URL to "http://www.google.co.in/", it i working fine. But if I enter the same URL using EditText, I am getting "http://www。google。co。in/" as url by using method url.getText().toString() where url is the EditText object. cause of this I am getting IllegalStateException. Log is attached.

Code I am using is

Please help me out to get the correct URL.
