today I cleared SCJP with 86%
I know it is not a great score but I did it with my academics of the college going on
I started learning java (directly started preparing for the certification ) on 1st Janurary of this year
(I want to add that I even did not know any keyword in java and also did not know how to compiler and run a java program)
and then started to read K & B
I found it much interesting and continued on it
I visited this forum regularly ... of course it is really really helping for all the SCJP aspirants
I read the book thoroughly 2 times
specially the collections chapter

when I was ready to appear for the exam I was not expecting too much from myself
just I knew that I had studied well and studying for SCJP has given me much more than I expected
some people say that SCJP makes you a human compiler
but this exam actually makes you much better programmer as you start to know the Object Oriented Programming concepts very very well

for last 15 days I just took mock exams
found EXamLab very very very very very useful
couldn't have done this without examlab

I will be more active on the community now trying my best to help all the aspirants
