Issue: Japan character encoding in JSP2.0 on WAS6.1  RSS feed

We are migrating our application from WAS5 to WAS6 environment. During this we are observing issue with the Japan encoding characters in displaying in the page. However, no other code is changed, in the JSP except the <%@taglib uri="" %>. Can any one help in this regard. However, I have approached some other teams around who are also migrating their environment but they are not using the page as is, instead they are re-writing the entire page (for that specific country) using Unicode characters implementation. So need a solution which allows the JP encoding characters being displayed.

FYI: pageEncoding="Shift_JIS" is already used. The below kind of options are also used but could not find proper result.
