hi.. im a newbie in java.. i have started studying i/o and file handling, i just want to know from which book should i start and what all topics should i cover in it.

i ve a book: Beggining java 2. from Wrox press is it good or should i study from sun tutorials. Im really confused about this topic.. please help..

Ravi,
Either is probably fine. You want to make sure you know how to read/write a file of course. Also, if your book is old, supplement it with online materials for the Scanner class introduced in Java 5.

i found Java for Dummies really helpful, theres no shame in using it, it just simplifies it. Theres no point in making something harder than it needs to be.
