This looks like it could be a really awesome book - I can't wait to get myself a copy!

I am always looking for that extra chapter in most of the books out there on this subject - the one which really brings the subject back with some detailed examples of how Spring and Hibernate can be applied to the real world.

Wow, I'm learning persistence with hibernate. I intrigued to know what this book might contain. I have seen Spring and Hibernate options in Netbeans while creating a new Web project. I haven't tried to do anything with it yet. Maybe this book might help.

Welcome authors to javaranch.com.
I have some experience in Spring but nothing in Hibernate.
I am just waiting for the book to come in local stores.

Welcome Paul and Solomon. I'll look forward to Indian edition of the book. I read the Pro Spring 2.5 book (which is an awesome book) but the hibernate portion was not very in-depth so I guess this is the right book for that

Thanks for all the kind words and support! I am excited to be here and look forward to chatting with you all about the book in more detail. It's good to hear some of the feedback regarding the benefit of a book that discusses how to use Spring and Hibernate in a real-world, production scenario. This was one of the fundamental goals of the book — to examine the strategies and techniques required for implementing a scalable, production application using these two amazing frameworks.

Again, thanks for all the responses and support. I look forward to chatting with you more!

Best Regards,

Paul
