please someone tell me,how can i download jdk for mac os. The apple development center doesnt show any such download as an option.

It's likely already installed.

At a Terminal command prompt type:

javac -version

If you don't get an error you're good to go.

Otherwise see: http://developer.apple.com/java/faq/

thanks,for the help. i have been doing the java programminng on windows till now.I want to be able to do it on mac os as well.kindly guide me where to write the code,how to save,compile and run it on mac.
