Over in the forum where Javaranch moderators secretly plan world domination do organizin' stuff, we decided to add some new blood. In the process, all moderators get to mosey around and drop into new forums if they want.

So here I am, back again after a looooong while. I'm really looking forward to sharing the bar wipe duties with Carol.

So far I've only done a little cleaning in the assignment log thread, but if you want to order up any sarsparella or whatever else, just yell.

Cheers,
Pauline

Hey Pauline! This is good news! I've been a little lonely over here, and I have to move this month, so I've been away from the ranch way too much! Also, my technical expertise is, shall we say, limited at best!
Do you want a copy of the log update program? I think I can figure out how to send you a copy if you want..

Sure, send it over. I used to have one around here somewhere, but a fresh copy wouldn't hurt.

Label those boxes!

My monitor has been acting up lately. Sometimes it won't light up when I turn my system on, and then I have to smack it on top in just the right place to make it light up, but sometimes even that doesn't work, and I just have to wait until it magically comes on all by itself.
Don't want to buy another CRT monitor. I'm holding out until I can afford a Flat-Screen monitor. So Pauline, it may be a few days before I can send the assignment log program files to you.
Will keep in touch from the computers at work, even though I have to sneak in the access..........
Shhhhhhhh....
Someone's coming.....

Bummer, Carol, especially now that you have the fast access stuff.

Glad to see you again, Pauline.

You have to give your monitor the Fonzi treatment? Drag. No hurry for me, I'm off for a few days (yeah, just got here, I know) so don't rush on my account - or get caught sneaking in!

Oops, I just found your email in the junk folder Carol. (Guess my spam filter doesn't like .zip files and/or cattles). I may not be able to get to doing an update until Monday, but then for sure.

Thanks!

Let me know if I left anything out. I think everything you need is in there, but I don't remeber how I put the shortcut on my desktop so I can open the program from there. Also, to save time, I've only been updating the active students, which is at the very beginning of the html data. I copy that first table and then paste it where the old one was in the assignment log thread. Up dating both tables takes a long time on my system, so I started taking a shortcut. Hope it works for you!
