While cross posting with other sites is not forbidden, we do ask that the post be mentioned.
Generally, the best solution is to just post a link to the cross topic. And let the moderators deal with the yucky part of enforcing the rules.

You can see how much annoyance cross-posting causes. I personally dislike it more than some of the other moderators.
You know what steams my lobster is searching on google to try to help folks and finding their exact question reposted once, twice, more times.... on several sites.

I have no problem with that, as long as it is announced that they have cross posted in another forum.
But if someone posts in several forums without mentioning that, and I happen to notice it, then I will never answer their questions again. Not out of malice. I will simply make the assumption that they have posted multiple times and that there is no need for me to look at their question since they will get the answer elsewhere.
