What's in your mind when you were preparing SCJD and passed it with 100% ?
Roel?
I am curious about the motivation behind it.

I do not think its about the exams only, it is mostly about how you built your assignment.
The exam is just something that you take to prove that you wrote the assignment you submitted, not your friend(The java Guru).

Hi Jianping,

Don't think I started with the thought: I'm gonna pass SCJD with a perfect score. I just wanted to do a good job and become a SCJD.

I just started with 2 things in mind:
1/ don't do anything that's not necessary
2/ keep it as simple as possible

That's really it! But in everything I do, I always try to do the best I can and pursue the perfection (that's just how I am, nothing I can do about that ).

But initially I was surprised I had a perfect score and thought they made a mistake. And being in disbelieve I checked almost every day the website to see if the 400 was still there

Kind regards,
Roel

The extra effort you made makes you extraordinary. Everyone has potential to use his "extra" power, but few people does that.

To "Extra Effort"!

Roel was indeed an inspiration , to build an app that is faultless.
(It will be unfair to say that, I never chased the perfect score )
But feel that I didn’t maintain

2/ keep it as simple as possible rule

and may be ended up losing 15 points.

Kind Regards,
Naveen Narayanan.
