Hello All,

I have set my SELECT dopdown to a max width of 20.
On Firefox, when I drop the list down it doesn't scroll, but it does make the width of the dropdown the size of the largest entry. This is OK.
But in IE, it doesn't even do that. The dropdown stays the same width of 10 and so I can't read all the entries. What else can I do?

I want the select box to be a set width. But when I drop the list down, I want to be able to see all the text. In Firefox, But in IE I don't no why?.

Some one please suggest me how to resolve this?

Thanks,
With Best Regards,
Kalyan G.

You're stuck. IE does what IE wants, and there's nothing you can do about it.

You can either live with it, or let the dropdown choose its own natural size, or use an alternate control.

You will not be able to make IE act the same as the real browsers in this respect.

No one said anything about easy. One alternative I sometimes use is a jQuery UI autocompleter.
