unable to get values for modify page

hi,
i developed jsp page..in it i need to modify the elements ..for that i used beans to store already existing values and if i call the jsp page by using EL it should take the existing values and do modifications...im getting for textboxes but im not getting for textarea..can any one suggest me how to do..here is my code...

TEXTAREA takes input from the text between the opening <TEXTAREA>and the closing </TEXTAREA> tag, not from a value attribute.

TEXTAREA tag uses attributes to set the size in ROWS and COLS

im doing modification for the existing file..if i click modify jsp page..the values should taken from 'bean' and the values are shown in jsp page...by seeing those values if required changes are to be done...that is my problem..my project looks like that..
