Hi Friends,

I am working on RAD 6.0. Initially I wasn't able to search files with control + shift + are (read it as english alphabet), but that problem resolved by following Customize perspective -> Commands Tab -> Resource Navigation. Now the 'choose a file' window opens with control + shift + are (read it as english alphabet) but I am not able to find resources with giving * in the file name. For example *og should find log.xml, but its not.

Can you please let me know if there is any other setting to be done for enabling regular expression in find resources?

Thanks,
Me

Did our anti-SMSspeek filter get in your way tring to say Control+Shift+"R"? Sorry about that. I've had to deal with it myself.

Unless IBM's done something to it, typing in wildcards for the resource name search works just fine for me. I'm using Eclipse Galileo and have been making extensive use of that feature lately.

The one thing that can interfere with that ability would be if you had filtering on the resource search due to either using a specific filter or due to use of a Working Set definition. This is easy to check. If you can't get the resource listed by typing in its full name - or by not typing in anything and seeing it in the unfiltered list, then the wildcard search won't work either.

You guessed is right Bartender. I wasn't able to type "R", but now I know how to do that..

I am able to search the resource by typing full name, also i get the list when not typing in any thing. Still the wildcard doesn't work. I also have RAD 7.0 installed, where its working fine. Probably some setting in RAD 6.0 is stopping me doing that.

Or the version of Eclipse it's using just doesn't do it--compare with a stock Eclipse of the same version if it's really important to you.
