Hello...

Tomorrow is my last working day at my current company. Then i will not be having access to my email account and other official data.
This is my first switch and i am not sure which documents may be needed in future from my current company. Later on it will be difficult to get them.

I was going through form 16 post in this forum and realized that i will also need form 16 next year while filing income tax return from my current organization.

So wanted to know more from experienced people... what are the things that i should take care of before leaving my current company?

Thanks

Marshal

Collect Experience/Relieving letter.

This year's Form 16(for April,May,June,July 2010), you will get next year after march 31 2011. You may have to ask your previous company or sometimes themselves will ask you where to send.

1. Experience and releiving letter
2. Offer letter
3. Salary/Designation change letter (if any)
4. Last 3 months payslip.
5. Form 16

Its better to close your PF account in your current company instead of transferring it as most of the times it becomes an issue.
If you close the PF,you will get the money in 3 months i guess.

Congrats on your offer and me too looking for a change. Will follow suit soonnn..

You get offer letter before joining company.
Salary / Designation change letter you get when it is changed.
Payslips you get every month.

The only letter you should collect while leaving the company is Experience / Relieving letter.
