hello everyone,

i need to have a regular expression pattern for alphanumeric.
for example:
if i have strings like-abc(172.55.78.90)
amc(122.78.09.70)
def(172.45.68.98)
172.56.89.78
172.57.43.21

now if user enters a*
he should get the strings :abc(172.45.78.90)
amc(122.78.09.70)

if he enters 172.5*
he should get the strings:172.55.78.90
172.56.89.78
172.57.43.21

please help me out with this...

thanks.

Well, what have you tried so far? And what issues do you seem to be having? Posting some code for us to see may be good too, as regex has many options in its API.
