Hi All,

I have a Popup Screen that fetches a list of 1000 values. When the search is clicked, the WebService is called.

But by the end of 60 sec, i am able to get error msg "Service Call Exception; nested Exception is: java.net.SocketTimeOutException : Read Time Out"

In the WebService, there is a Service Interface, ServiceImpl, BindingStub.

In the BindingStub i got two methods

Request Method - where the list of parameter is set, to fetch the response.

Response Method - Here the list of 1000 values needs to fetch but it get this SocketTimeout Exception.

I tried using HttpControlInterface inorder to delay the setSocketTimeout but never worked at all.

///// Code

HTTPControlInterface httpInterface = HTTPControlFactory.getInterface(port);
httpInterface.setSocketTimeout(6000000);

//////

PLEASE CAN ANYONE PROVIDE SUGGESTION FOR THIS ISSUE.

Thanks & Regards,
Vijay

Hi, it seems you got a problem in the socket level. You say you are calling a web service? Can you access the wsdl using a browser? Also may be this question should be posted in the web services forum?

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
