EJB - EJB Container Vs Spring - Servlet Container  RSS feed

Spring supports all the EJB features and nested transaction(no need of EJB container, just Servlet container is enough to deploy Spring Beans). Whether we need EJB still ?

Kri,
The EJB container still handles scaling better than Spring as far as I know. For most common cases, they are equivalent.

There is still a container. It's just now in the Spring jar.

Hi Jeanne, Even latest version of Tomcat also handles scaling very well.

But Tomcat is just a Servlet container.
