Hi,

I am attempting to install the /samples for weblogic server v10.3.3 and not having any luck.

I have installed the .zip weblogic server distribution on a RHES linux server, logged into the admin console locally - all fine...

Now, I downloaded (the hidden) .bin with all the extras, like the /samples, for learning. After following both the graphical and console steps to install the /samples I am at a loss. For one, in both installation modes all I am given is an option to create a new MW_HOME (which Oracle suggests you don't do), I have already set MW_HOME with previous install. I even tried running the quickstart.sh script (root) and I get back a message of too many parameters.

Why is it so hard to install the weblogic server example samples? I'll stop right there for now. Can you help?

...(another problem is I can't access the admin console from an XP client on port 7001 - telnet is not working to this port , ping is - suggestions? firewall via norton or my router? I have a DNS nt server in the loop also, the apache plug-in is working fine on port 80, security setting for weblogic admin console?)

Thank you.
