Can someone help me by providing details for environment setup for SCBCD.

i want to start preparing for it now and dont know how to start and where to start

What do you mean by environment setup? You would obviously need Java, EJB container like Glassfish, a Database.

there is an appendix in MZ's study guide. I followed it to the letter, and besides one minor detail leter on (i didn't have jdni.properties file correctly set up) everything worked.

here scroll down to A. Enterprise Application Development Environment - Installing

hope this helps. it surely did help me

Glassfish, I mentioned this in my earlier post above. Use a textpad to practice which is good from the exams point of view than using an IDE.

I don't think there's any "best" IDE. Use one that you feel comfortable with. If you decide to use Eclipse, this tutorial should help you.
