How good is the student guide book from SUN? I noticed the information about the book by Kathy Sierra and Bert Bates from the previous threads. But, i don't have this one. Will the student guide suffice for the SCJP exam??? Please, guide me!

dude if you can please buy kathy siera book it would be a good for you and also for bert bates too.

kathy siera book is essential source of information for clearing SCJP1.6.

It is SL-275-SE6 Student Guide which i believe is a part of SUN's instructor led training program. I got this book from another source though. I would like to know if this book is sufficient to prepare for the SCJP exam.

SL-275 is a fine Java course, but it is in NO WAY sufficient to pass the SCJP. So, the student guide that comes with the course is also okay, but it's not enough. It can be a part of what you use to study from but it doesn't cover everything you need for the SCJP exam.

I would recommend the SCJP study guide, if you do not already have it

@ Bert Bates: In that case i would like to know what other materials would you suggest that will cover everything for the SCJP exam..

I no good English.
