I've built a runnable jar. I need to add a log4j.properties file to the classPath. Can anyone tell me how to do that using Maven? Maybe provide links that have some specific configurations which demonstrate how to do this. Any advice would be most appreciated.

Put log4j.properties in src/main/resources.

hahahaha holy crap!
That did it along with removing my PropertyConfigurator.configure statement.
I thought I had to manipulate the classPath: in the manifest file for it to be picked up. I feel stupid.
I've learned sooo much over the last few days.

Thanks, David!
