Hi
I am looking for a way to call scala codelet dynamically from java - much like using jsr223 to call say a javascript or jython script. I understand that scala is much more than a scripting language - but it would nice to be able to call a scala code [I mean a src code] from a java runtime dynamically [means programmatically compile it on the fly and the be able to run it by say passing in parameters].

thanks
Anamitra

Welcome to Javaranch!

There is as yet no official JSR 223 compiant Scala implementation. At the bottom of the linked RFE there is a post from one of the guys working with Apache Sling that points to an implementation they built. Here is a video presentation describing the implementation.
