Hi Everybody,
I am a fresher got recruited in one company role is System Admin (like starting it is jr Sys admin). I like programming and and i wanted to change my role later.
Is there any possibility to change the role from System Admin to Software Development normally in a company???

I guess the answer is ... it depends.

For example, in small product companies, infrastructure and development could report to the same manager, and it would just be a case of asking your manager for a shot at development duties.

On the other extreme, with some larger companies, infrastructure and the line of business are so separated, that the managers may rarely meet each other.
