I am new to Java and I am trying to understand the process here of passing parameters to an include file, and then having the included file load a list of Items.

The include:

I notice the list parameter especially, and it's value of #{userSession.items}, I am not sure what entityHome might be.

The include page:

I see there is a extendedDataTable that is the first item to call the value #{list}... but it doesn't. The resulting page just 'There are no selected products '..

Is there something wrong with the way this is set up?

To help me do you need to see the code for userSession.items?

I am not sure how to get it to display the items that are in each category, so I thought I would start here.

Thank you.

It seems for all intents and purposes that the code above is simply rendering the code it should when it finds an empty list right?

So why is it rendering an empty list when the categories are full of products.

So I thought I better post the behind class before someone comes along to try and help and can't. Here is the class UserSession.Java
