hi all,

Iam stuck up with an error...Hope u guys can help .

Iam using a bean called TypeBean which had elements Name and CreateDate.

I set the bean in the Action class after populating the bean as:

request.setAttribute("list", list_bean);

Where list_bean is the bean object which has been populated.

And in my JSP I use <logic resent> and <logic:iterate> as follows:

<logic resent name="list" >
<logic:iterate id="listdetails" name="list">
<bean:write name="listdetails" property="Name"/>
</logic:iterate>
</logic resent>

But I get an error saying

Error 500--Internal Server Error
javax.servlet.jsp.JspException: No getter method for property Name of bean listdetails

I checked for the case of the property element and so on... But evrything is fine and still i get this error.

Can Any one of you guys HELP ME FAST!!!
thanks in advance

Bhuvana

Hi,
according to my knowledge you have to use
<bean:write name="...." property="name" />
in ur java bean class u have to have
getName() and setName() methods for property named name.
this is the convention to be used for java bean property.
Let me know how it works
Thanks
Anupa

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
