network dissconnection while copy file data in database

+Pie Number of slices to send: Send
HI,

I want to copy a file from FTP server and later i want to copy the content of the file in the database which is there on another server.
During these processes if there is any kind of network failure HOW can i find out and handle these kind of situations?

Need advice.

thanks you

Assuming you're doing this with Java code somehow, there should be an exception thrown in such cases - which you can catch and recover from.

If I am copying a file from FTP server and then in between network got disconnected
do i have to delete the file which is partially copied in the local system and again start my coping process,
Or is there any alternate way of continue the copping process from where it last ended.

FTP has a command, REST, which resumes a transfer from a given point.
Both your server and your client api has to support the command, of course.
You would be much easier to understand if you took that bucket off of your head. And that goes for the tiny ad too!
