i got the data from .jsp page through javascript submit() function by clicking simple button

after processing on servlet, i am trying to send query string as response to same .jsp page

but query string is not displaying on internet explorer
and only this point GroupMaster.jsp is redirected.
so i m not able to pick value of query string

am i doing something wrong in this?

Query string are for form and URL submission. When forwarding from a servlet to a JSP, data is passed using scoped variables (in other words, data set onto the various scopes using setAttribute()). Most often, request scope is the most appropriate.

i have already used set attribute
but i want to send it through Query String and
you mean that is not possible as i have to use request.getParameter on client side to call value of query string?

Azrael, if you do so, how does the container/computer knows that, there is a path for a jsp file with some parameters?

If that without parameter, it's just mapped the url in the web.xml or find the resource. But, with the parameter, how does it knows whether, upto this, it's the url, and then it's a parameter?

And, thanks for your party.

I interpret your response as "I insist upon doing it the wrong way."

Why is that?
