Hi,
I want to give alias name as http://companyname.com instead of http://localhost:8080/ in jboss server 4.2.0

Can anyone give the proper steps to do it

Tanks in advance

Two things you can do...

- buy the domain and link it to your IP-adr.
or
- add an entry to your machines hosts file (domain name -> your IP-adr.)

The port number 8080 will be the same with or without a domain - unless you change it on your JBoss to port 80
