scja or scjp?

i finshed my BE computer science this year
am confused weather to write scja or scjp?
kindly advise me on this

saying its 4 school kids, and giving the thumb up isnt right

the SCJA introduces you to technologies you will never know in SCJP. introduction to JME,JSE and JEE, RMI, working with database, simple introduction to server/client side technologies.

am not saying you should take the SCJA first (i didnt take it, i went straight to SCJP), but its an excellent introduction to Java technologies.

it depend but as i know that paper is not that code orientated. it is like theory objective question.

Two certs are better than one! Start with the SCJA exam. Then when you pass that, grab the SCJP.

I would say that for someone new to the industry, there is significantly more studying required to pass SCJP than for SJCA, although both exams are challenging.
