Hi Guys,

I am from a C/C++ background with fair knowledge of core java. I am working on an project that helps engineering students simulate electrical circuits.
There is an open source project of this sort written in Java (applet + AWT) - http://www.falstad.com/circuit

I wish to reuse this code but provide a richer user experience (rich web UI). I was exploring the various options I have and I came across JavaFX. I need advice regarding the following points -

1) Is it possible to develop this project in JavaFX and achieve similar functionality but with a richer web based UI?
a) If yes then how much of the existing code can I reuse?

2) Is there any other option (java based) which is more preferable for this project than JavaFX?

Any help will be most appreciated.

Many thanks

Siddus

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
